Choosing a counselor for yourself, a friend, family member, or child feels like a big decision, because it is. All counselors are different, and some will match up with your personality, values, and experiences better than others will.  It is an important decision and it is worth the time and effort you are putting into it.

As you read this site and consider whether or not you would want to see me as a counselor, you may want more information.  I welcome your phone call. You may also want to schedule a single session in which we would discuss what you hope to gain from counseling and you would be able to decide whether or not you want to continue counseling with me or continue looking.

As a counselor, my job is to be actively with people in the truth of where and who they are right now.  I work very hard to listen to the whole of your experience and your full range of feeling, thoughts and desires-to help you hear yourself and make choices that will help you feel whole.

As an Orthodox Christian, I approach counseling from the profound conviction that every human person is beloved of God, endowed by Him with immeasurable value, and is given the capacity to experience abundant life. When our souls ache, God's abundance seems impossibly far away. Yet, I know it is attainable, because I have witnessed-in so many lives- tremendous pain transformed, even redeemed, in the most unexpected ways.

It is hard to express how privileged and amazed I am to be invited into people's lives,  the wonder I experience witnessing God's power to heal, and the strength of people who thought they were helpless.

Wherever your journey takes you, I pray for you that the difficult path you are now walking will lead you continually into a deepening, life giving intimacy with your self and God.
